University of Pennsylvania deans, faculty, senior administrators, and student leaders, as well as presidents and delegates from peer institutions, should report to the Annenberg Center lobby at 8:30 a.m. to prepare for the procession through campus.
Academic regalia is required to participate, and a continental breakfast will be provided.
Annenberg Center to Irvine Auditorium
The academic procession will depart from the Annenberg Center lobby at 9:30 a.m. Participants will process down Locust Walk, through Penn Commons, to Irvine Auditorium.

A livestream of the event will be available on the webcast page of this site. Members of the Penn community are also invited to view the livestream together under a tent at Penn Commons, next to Irvine Auditorium. Arrive by 9:30 a.m. to welcome the academic procession.

Head to the heart of campus to celebrate Inauguration Day with good food, fun giveaways, and live music from two of President Magill’s favorites. Enjoy some of the best of the local food scene, including signature bites from CookNSolo restaurants (Zahav, Federal Donuts, Goldie, and more), picnic fare from Neuman’s Kitchen, and a scoop of a specially made ice cream by Philadelphia’s own Bassetts: Penn-augural Berry Chocolate Chunk.
Registration is required. The event is open to the Penn community and special invited guests. No bags permitted. You will need to bring your registration confirmation QR code and Penn ID for entry. Please also see the list of prohibited items.
